Turkish
Thanks to Baroness Roz who sent me a packet of info to get this
project started. You are AWESOME. I realized the cut of the
undergarment was not right the minute AFTER I cut the collar wrong.
Roman (Mary-Grace of the Julia)
So, we were HUGE fans of "Rome" on HBO, and I thought all the Nobel women always looked
so elegant....so I thought I would give it a try. I am in love with the fabrics,....all silk.
MENG goes A'Viking
So, I have been promising Havordh for 7 years that I would make a Viking
dresss, ...and I have collected tons of glass beads as gifts over the years,
so it was finally time. This is some lovely soft Linen that I had. It is kinda
hard to see on the dress form..sorry...all my chemise are at Lilies in a tub
waiting for me to show up. Also, I don't have any broaches so I thought
these little Rams heads were fun for now.
Update on the Roman!
So I have made the silk Tunica to go underneath the Stolla to give the
proper layers to my Roman. i think it looks pretty cool. You can see
me here with the Roman Crown that Havordh made. Gotta have the
accessories, right?
Black/Red Coat Hardies
These I did last year for Havordh and I. They are of a
brocade fabric with crowns appliqué ed on the bottom.
Not a great picture of me, but you can
see the dress on!
Elizabethan
I made this dress, except for the
forepart (under skirt panel) which
was made for me by Lady Amalia
of Ansteorra. It is amazing how
well the golds matched
considered she'd never seen my
dress before.
Tudor....
This is our Coronation Garb. I am soooo proud of his outfit, particularly his
coat, which is just about the hardest thing I have ever made. I am still not
happy with my sleeves, which need some adjusting.
This is me working our SCA booth at
the Louisiana Ren Fest. This is a new
bodice that I made all by hand and my
silk partlet with the pearls all over that i
made by hand with linen thread! This
bodice has hooks and eyes up the
front, which is much easier than having
to get laced up the back!
Me in more Elizabethan at a demo for
the Golden Age movie. I have my new
partlet on here gain.
Silk Coathardie
This is a coathardie is made from an amazing ivory silk with a gorgeous
gold scroll-work pattern given to me by my friend Countess Xoranzne
from Calontir. The skirt has a border of green shot silk. This dress was
completed for Gleann Abhann's 6th Crown List on Noveber 17th, 2007
